| The Bee Hive Tea Room is
located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City in the historic Clift
Building, on the corner of 3rd South and Main Street. Decorated with an
eclectic mix of second-hand furniture, the Beehive gives an atmosphere of having "stepped back in time" when tearooms in
cities like New York and San Francisco were bohemian hangouts frequented by artists and writers.
|
| |
| At the Beehive we have over 35 loose-leaf teas
served English style in teapots, delicious David Rio Chai,
French Press Coffees from Rimini, hot chocolate, Italian sodas, and tea
smoothies. Drop in for some of our homemade English scones,
or order from our light-lunch menu of daily soup, sandwiches,
salads, and specials. The traditional "Afternoon Tea" service is also
available every day beginning at 2:00.
We
prepare Afternoon Tea according to our reservations, therefore, we
require reservations at least one day in advance. The Afternoon
Tea is served in the traditional style, with finger sandwiches,
scones & jam, sweets, and a choice of Tea, American hot chocolate, or
French Press coffee. We have recently
added a small selection of beer to our menu, with extended hours on
Friday and Saturday evenings. (We sometimes close early on these days if
we have a large party- you may want to to call ahead.) |
Planning a party?
We have two different rooms
(the Willow Room or the Study) that can be scheduled for a shower,
birthday party, or small gathering, depending on your number of
guests. Afternoon Tea is served for all party reservations.. Please call
ahead for reservations and availability. All parties must be paid for in
advance. (See "Hosting a Party at the Tea Room" for details).
|
| We have a small gift area where we carry an assortment of teapots and
gift items, and any of our loose teas may be purchased by the ounce. |
| |
| Free wireless internet access is provided through XMISSION. |

While you're enjoying the atmosphere at the
Beehive, be sure to check out the art of our current "Artist in Residence,"
Bob Moss. Borrowing images and themes from Utah culture and history, Bob
creates unique art pieces using a combination of woodburning, photo, and
paint techniques. CD's of his banjo song stylings are also available. |
